The job of the Section Representative is to help the section learn to work and play together. Examples would be: doing a section newsletter using information from the ships in the section, helping plan joint ventures (picnics, parties, gaming nights, etc. - basically fun stuff) for 2 or more ships that are close enough to do these type of things. If possible plan a section "get-together" for all the ships in the section and perhaps even expand this to getting a couple of sections together for some fun activity, perhaps once a year or every other year. It would also be nice to see the Section Reps. have a meeting for the ships in their section at the Summit and/or Fall Conference each year. In other words the Section Reps. job is to help the ships/shuttles in their section learn to work together and bond to ultimately help create a stronger region, but mostly to help ships/shuttles know they are not out there alone, there are others going through the same things, having the same type of fun, struggling with the same problems, etc.
The Section Representative's responsibilities will be:

* Keep close contact with chapters in your sector.
* Report and otherwise work closely with your Senior Captain and the Regional Command staff.
* Promote get togethers and other events with the chapters in your sector to foster chapter cooperation and interaction.

Requirements for the Section Representative position:

* Have passed both OTS and OCC.
* Have a positive and outgoing personality and be able to coordinate multiple chapter events in your sector.
* Be willing and able to travel to other chapter meetings in your sector, if time and finances permit.
